2023 Summer Camp details will be posted in late May. Sessions will include:

Pirate Lore – Students will learn basic history of the pirates of the seven seas, nautical terms and ocean navigation, basic oceanography, pirate crafts, ropes and knot tying, period props and costumes, a mock pirate battle, and more!

Acting The Part – Students will learn basic theatre arts history from the ancient Greeks to the modern Broadway musical; an appreciation for dramatic literature; acting, improv, and movement for the stage; working with props and costumes; basic technical theatre and artistic design; and more!

Shakespearean Superheroes – Students will learn contents of the Shakespearean canon; techniques for mastering Shakespearean language and roles; a look at Shakespeare’s heroes and villains; scene study; monologue work; period props and costumes; and more!

Wild, Wild Westerns – Students will learn basic history of the American west; the development of the western melodrama and its roots in Italian Commedia; the transition from melodrama to musical play and the creation of Broadway; stock characters; scene development; period props and costumes; and more!

Space is limited to 20 students per week. Students must be able to read at the 3rd grade level in order to participate. All material suitable and designed for grades 3 through 10.
